Welcome Back
Welcome back!!!! I hope everyone had a great summer break!!
Zero Waste
RRPS Aims for Zero Waste

Every day is a recycling day at RRPS! Please consider joining RRPS in its efforts to aim for zero waste in its school cafeterias, classrooms, offices and athletic events. Zero waste is a philosophy that encourages the redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are reused. No trash is sent to landfills and incinerators. See how one southwestern campus is using “aversion” and “diversion” to reach its goals. Click here to read about UNM's efforts.
Counseling curriculum in ALL classrooms

Pack Leaders
Thank you Pack Leaders for helping to be positive role models in our school, volunteering at school social events, and helping with Holiday donations. This group has helped with literacy night and Harvest Fest!! Good Luck in 6th Grade!!
Incoming 5th graders will be nominated into the Pack Leader group

What do the counseling groups offer to students?

Weekly counseling groups are offered for each grade level. The students who participate work cooperatively to decide what topics we will discuss. Students are referred to the group for a variety of reasons, all of which are impacting their learning.

It is by building a micro-community at each grade level that we strive to support the diverse needs of the individuals. Please contact me at x519 for more information. Groups are provided for the duration of the school year, and students and/or parents are involved in decision making about ongoing participation or brief participation in the grade level group.
Counseling Groups
Group support is offered to students during weekly grade level lunch meetings. Students are encouraged to identify topics and concerns they would like to discuss each week.

Groups for Kinder held on Fridays, 1st grade Thursdays, 2nd grade will be held on Mondays and 3rd grade on Tuesdays, 4th grade on Tuesdays, and 5th grade on Fridays. All groups are offered during lunch and students can choose to go to lunch recess or play in my office during recess.

Please contact me if you feel that group support would help your child - our goal is to support your child's academic success at Stapleton.

Building Community
The way that we choose to interact with one another as adults, parents, and professionals impacts Stapleton's community.

Is there an interaction that has occurred recently which you appreciate? Please tell me about it!
