Welcome to Second Grade! On this sheet provided, you’ll get a lot of handy information regarding Mrs. Zuniga’s second grade class. If you can’t find the answer to the question, feel free to email me at the address above!

At Stapleton parents pay a $40.00 supply fee at the beginning of the year. This covers the cost of the required agenda, field trip shirt, and the supplies used in the classroom. Please make checks out to Stapleton Elementary
Water bottles that have a sealed lid with a drinking spout are allowed in the classroom. Children fill up water bottles once a day and are sent home on Fridays to be washed. If the water bottle is too much of a distraction for your child, he/she will not be allowed to have one.

Good to Know
 On the first and third Friday every month, PTA sells popcorn for 24 cents, fruit snack for 50 cents, and pickles for 75 cents. Please check your child’s specials calendar on the back of their take home folder to see when popcorn Friday occurs. If it’s a spirit Friday, students wearing a Stapleton T-shirt get a free popcorn
 Specials calendars are made for each month and kept on the back of the take home folder. The specials are different for each day and month. Please check it regularly because on PE days students need to wear tennis shoes.
 Please make sure to check your child’s blue take home folder nightly. This along with agenda needs to be checked regularly. Any money that needs to be sent to school for either lunch or field trips, please make sure it is in a sealed envelope or baggie with the child’s name and the amount. Please put the money in your child’s take home folder.
 Lunches can be paid for in advance and you’ll receive a notice from the cafeteria with the balance is low. If you visit the Stapleton Website, click parents, and then food services, you can pay for meals online.

Welcome to Mrs. Zuniga’s Second Grade Class! I look forward to a successful year with your child.
